SAFE Project, in collaboration with Drexel University, invites veterans in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area to an in-person Philadelphia Veteran Wellness Pilot Program. Participants have options to attend either on May 10th or 11th, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM ET. Created with funding from Walmart, this 6-hour program takes place at Drexel University. The program, designed from veteran input, empowers veterans by building skills for resiliency and well-being.
Core information session modules include exploring self-leadership and identity, addressing emotions and wellbeing, setting goals and finding solutions, moving from coping to thriving, achieving financial wellness, and finding help and support.
- Modules are brief (about 3o minutes) and include online recordings, exercises, and worksheets.
This program “by veterans and for veterans,” highlights the diverse range of multicultural talents and resilience among veterans. Veterans learn from, support, and contribute to each other and the community.
Boxed lunches will be provided and participants who complete the training will receive a $50 gift card.
