SAFE Project, in collaboration with the University of Texas-San Antonio and Texas A&M University-San Antonio, invites veterans in the San Antonio, Texas area to the virtual San Antonio Veteran Wellness Pilot Program. Participants have options to attend either on April 20th or 21st, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM CST. Created with funding from the Wounded Warrior Project ® (WWP), this 6-hour program takes place online in a virtual interactive environment. The program, designed from veteran input, empowers veterans by building skills for resiliency and well-being.
Sessions include exploring self-leadership and identity, addressing emotions and wellbeing, setting goals and finding solutions, moving from coping to thriving, achieving financial wellness, and finding help and support.
- Modules are brief (about 35 minutes) and include online recordings, exercises, and worksheets.
This program “by veterans and for veterans,” highlights the diverse range of multicultural talents and resilience among veterans. Veterans learn from, support, and contribute to each other and the community.
Participants who complete the training will receive a $50 gift card.
