SAFE Project, in collaboration with the University of North Florida (UNF), invites veterans in the Jacksonville, Florida area to an in-person Jacksonville Veteran Wellness Pilot Program. Participants have options to attend either on April 12th or 13th, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM ET. Created with funding from the Wounded Warrior Project ® (WWP), this 6-hour program takes place at the University of North Florida. The program, designed from veteran input, empowers veterans by building skills for resiliency and well-being.
Core information session modules include exploring self-leadership and identity, addressing emotions and wellbeing, setting goals and finding solutions, moving from coping to thriving, achieving financial wellness, and finding help and support.
- Modules are brief (about 35 minutes) and include online recordings, exercises, and worksheets.
This program “by veterans and for veterans,” highlights the diverse range of multicultural talents and resilience among veterans. Veterans learn from, support, and contribute to each other and the community.
Boxed lunches will be provided and participants who complete the training will receive a $50 gift card.
