With the new year comes new opportunities for SAFE Project. We are thrilled to share that the Enterprise Holdings Foundation has donated $500,000 to SAFE Project to support our mission to stop the addiction fatality epidemic.
The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, which, through its integrated global network of independent regional subsidiaries and franchises, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands.
“Through its philanthropy, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation makes a difference in communities across the country,” said Brandee Izquierdo, Executive Director of SAFE Project. “Thanks to the Enterprise Holdings Foundation’s generous donation, we are able to turn hope into action for additional communities, campuses and veterans this year.”
Since 1982, the Foundation has given back to the communities where partners and employees live and work. To date, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation has contributed more than $405 million to thousands of local nonprofits focused on community improvement, education and environmental stewardship.
SAFE’S key initiatives focus on SAFE Campuses, SAFE Communities, and SAFE Veterans. They are fueled by SAFE Project’s six lines of operation: public awareness, full-spectrum prevention, prescriptions & medical response, law enforcement & criminal justice, treatment & recovery and family outreach & support. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the support from our volunteers, SAFE turns hope into change for communities, campuses, and veterans through transformative programs, training, and technical assistance.
